Categories announced and tickets on sale for 2026 Royal Automobile Club Concours

Shooting brakes, sports-racers and V12 engines – plus extraordinary spoilers and pre-war masterpieces – to feature at Royal Automobile Club event on 8 July

LONDON, 02 February 2026: The Royal Automobile Club’s 2026 Concours Categories have officially been announced, with tickets already on sale for Royal Automobile Club members, and invitations open to submit vehicles into seven distinctive judged categories.

This exciting event will take place on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 at the Club’s Woodcote Park country estate in Surrey, some 20 miles away from central London where the Royal Automobile Club was founded 129 years ago.

Once again, the private members’ club will be opening their gates to fellow car clubs and motoring organisations, inviting them to join this summer celebration of motoring excellence. Invitations will be distributed from today, Monday 2 February. Tickets can then be purchased using unique access codes via the Concours website at https://www.royalautomobileclubconcours.co.uk/.

The Concours promises a spectacular yet eclectic array of cars, both in the judged categories themselves and the numerous special feature displays.

For the first time, auction house RM Sotheby’s will hold their summer sale at the Concours, while Royal Automobile Club members’ will have their own displays in the Members’ Paddock and Supercar Boulevard.

It’s a one-day-only extravaganza, now in its second year after a highly praised launch in 2025. Feedback was so overwhelmingly positive that the Concours has been added to the Club’s annual roster of motoring events, which includes London Motor Week and the world-famous RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

Concours categories are set to include specific ones for shooting brakes, 1950s sports-racing machines, and performance cars with dramatic rear aerofoil spoilers.

There is a category devoted to cars with V12 engines – incredible power units sent off into history by the EV revolution – and another celebrating competitors in Italy’s Targa Florio road race, which took place in Sicily from 1907 to 1973.

Rivalry is expected to be fierce for a place in the Pre-War Masterpieces category, while motorcycling, a growing part of the Club’s activities, and will be represented by a Concours line-up of delectable performance bikes.

The Club will nominate a panel of expert judges to choose winners in each category, while visitors can enjoy all of the 200+ cars on show, as well as the hospitality for which the Royal Automobile Club is famous; picnics, however, are also highly encouraged.

Key motoring highlights will be celebrated all around the Concours. This will include the centenary of the British Grand Prix at Brooklands and the life of adventurer-extraordinaire Sir Henry Segrave, as well as manufacturer anniversaries and the Edwardian era of coachbuilt automotive extravagance.

“After the inaugural Concours last year, we’re delighted once again to host this wonderful occasion at Woodcote Park,” said Duncan Wiltshire, Royal Automobile Club Chairman. “In a crowded summer calendar, we’re pulling out all the stops to stage a Concours like no other in a stylish ‘garden party’ setting that’s picture-perfect.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming not just our members but also their guests and other visitors coming to Woodcote for the very first time. And also, of course, to seeing some jaw-dropping machinery.”
